About

In 2011, we’ll be exploring “local” restaurants. Our aim is to avoid franchises/chains and experience the flavors & cuisine of local/independent restaurants.

You can see a list of all the restaurants we’ve identified for potential meals on Google Docs. We are focusing on Warner Robins and Macon, but are willing to travel a little further for good local fare.

Great blog so far… as for Warner Robins my suggestions would be Saigon Noodle, Emilio’s Cuban Cafe, and Greek Village.

Thanks for your suggestions, Ron. We went to Greek Village a couple weeks back and just ate at Emilio’s last night. I fell in love with their tres leches cake! Review coming soon.

I was perusing the web for our next culinary adventure when I found your blog. What’s better than an adventure that lasts a whole year?!?!?!?!
We have a little catching up to do, but we love the idea and I can’t wait to eat it all!!! Keep up the good work!!!

You guys should try The Mandarins Bistro on the corner of Riverside and Northside Dr. Besides the Longhorns, and Arbys. Very good Chinese food!!!
